Welcome back to my blog!
Yeah, that’s right. I still have a blog. Life has just been SO BUSY! I cannot believe that I forgot about my blog. After all the promising I did to you guys to NEVER forget, I did. Well, I apologize and I hope you’ll forgive me!
Ah, life. Life can be pretty wonderful, can’t it? Right now, my family and I are traveling all over the east coast to visit supporting churches and family that we haven’t seen in a long time. We won’t be back in Rochester until the 2nd week of May!
I am, of course, happy to see our family, but I was also sad and reluctant to leave friends back in Rochester, NY. I would be posting pics, but unfortunately, the first day we got to my mom’s uncle’s house, my phone fell into the toilet and is now broken…SO, there will be no pictures for a while (until I get a new phone or my phone gets fixed).
So, that’s an update on my life right now…How’s your life right now?
Recently my mom has decided to make some changes in our family’s diet. We are starting to eat helthier, and one thing she is trying to cut out of our diet is sugar.
You may be asking “How can you cut sugar out of your diet?”
Well, by using something else. And I don’t mean saccharine, aspartame, or sucralose. Stevia. Stevia is a natural sweetener that is produced by a plant. It’s natural, and healthy for you!
This soda recipe is super simple and only has three basic ingredients.
You will need…
330mL of soda water
1/4-1/2 tsp stevia
1/4 tsp of any flavoring/extract (my favorite is root beer)
1. Pour your soda water into a cup and add the stevia, stirring well to dissolve it.
2. Once your stevia is dissolved, stir in your flavoring/extract.
3. Add some ice if desired, and enjoy your soda!

These puppies are growing crazy fast…The top picture is Willow at about one week old. The second picture is of Onyx at four weeks. They are now seven weeks old! My little babies aren’t so little anymore!
Unfortunately, we had to put one of the puppies (Rory) down because his nervous system wasn’t fully developed and he physically would never be able to walk. But, we still have three happy, healthy, chewy puppies left, and they are the sweetest little balls of fuzz!
Kip (the remaining male) has an owner that is for sure going to buy him, and someone else is interested but we aren’t sure if he will buy one, but he was leaning toward it. We also have some other people interested, but they may not buy.
We are trying to treasure every moment we have with these puppies, because they are so precious to us!

P.S. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while! My family has been busy lately. The next installment of “The Mystery at Spencer Fairgrounds” is almost ready…I know I’ve said this before, but this time I mean it- keep a look out for it in my future posts! It’s a-comin’!
For the dough:
2 Cups Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Canola or Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup Water
Extra Canola or Vegetable Oil
For the filling:
3/4 Cups Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all dough ingredients before the water. Add water and stir until blended.
2. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll the dough into a 15×8 inch rectangle.
3. Preheat the oven to 400° Fahrenheit (190° Celcius) and lightly grease a 9-inch cake pan.
4. Using a pastry brush, cover the top of the dough with the extra canola or vegetable oil. Combine the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle it evenly over the top of the dough, spreading it if necessary. Roll up the dough longways and pinch the end to part of the roll to make a seam. Twist off the end bits of dough and discard. (There won’t be any cinnamon sugar mix in them after baking)
5. Cut cinnamon rolls into desired widths, place them into the pan with one cinnamon code facing down, and bake for 20 minutes.
IF YOU WANT GLAZE…
In a small bowl, combine one cup of powdered sugar and two tablespoons of water. Stir with a fork. If the glaze is not the consistency of school glue after this, add small increments of water until that consistency is achieved. Add about 1 capful of vanilla and stir that in. Glaze your cinnamon rolls and enjoy!

I’m still waiting with Reese for these puppies. I think it will be sometime in the next two days. I hope even sooner, though!
My little sister wants her to give birth so we don’t have to do school. She keeps hoping Reese will get contractions. 😄
I have been working on my Choose Your Own Adventure story recently and hopefully will be able to post the next installment soon!
Rivers know this: there is no rush. We will all get there someday.
Do you like puppies?
I love puppies! My dog is pregnant and her puppies are due this week or the next, and I can hardly wait!
One thing that is difficult is naming them. I like to name the puppies, and where we live, the people who buy the puppies like to buy them with names already, so usually they get to keep the names we give them.
If you have any good dog names (male or female, it doesn’t matter), please suggest them in the comments below! It can be from a dog you had/knew, or a completely original name– just please suggest some! I love hearing your guys’ ideas. : )

I got thicker wires for my braces…😁 My molars all hurt, but the rest if my teeth seem to be ok. I’m not sure how intense the pain will get, but I’m armed with Ibuprofen and Orajel just in case.
I got pink bands this time. They really stand out from my teeth. Hopefully my mouth will start feeling better soon. The orthodontist cut my wires longer than necessary this time and bent them in a circular shape so it’s harder for my springs (my springs maintain the space for my eye teeth to grow in) to pull my wires out, especially when I bite down on things.
These are my new bands for my braces…PINK! 😄
I found out that I will be needing a small surgical procedure to expose one of my eye teeth that is growing in. I’m a worst-case scenario person and I literally think of every way something bad could possibly go wrong. I’m trying to stop my negative thoughts, but I know it’ll take time, and help from Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour.
Prayers for me would be much appreciated!
